Thank You but normal.dot does not exist on the PC at all the only file I can find is normal.frm This does not open as a word file.
in that case find another PC with office 2000 on it and copy the normal.dot file to a disk then copy to the above path on your PC. use the Search/Find command to locate it easily.
also check for a virus as many viruses mess with this file.
