There is just one computer that can't see a member server.
This computer was part of a different domain in which the CAD server which is now a member server in our only domain was the PDC in the other domain
Its name is universal its IP address when it was a PDC was 10.0.0.11
Now Its a Member server and its IP is 10.0.0.231
yesterday I had to bring the Old CAD server back on line to get some files. So for a while we had to domains and each had a server called universal.
I noticed that some people would see the member server in Explorer and some would seee the other PDC keep in mind both had the exact same name "universal"
I took the old server back off line.
Now just this one computer which is an older PC cannot see the member server.
When I ping universal I get "No response from 10.0.0.11" which is of course the wrong IP
I added universal 10.0.0.231 to the LMhosts and hosts file and rebooted both the member server nad the New PDC.
Its been 24 hours so ther is enough time to re-sync.

How can I force this machine to see universal as 10.0.0.231?

I figured it out.
I went in Control, Panel Network icon
And removed the TCP/IP Protocol
Re-booted
Added the TCP/IP Protocol back again-
And re-booted
then it worked perfect.
