I am trying to change the floating aloha logo on our terminals. I have been reading online about finding the logo.bmp file and replacing it.

Problem is, I cannot find this file on our BOH server.

Is there another technique? Are all the terminals displaying their logo from a local file?

Thanks again!

Delete any logos from the the bmp folder.
Add an image to your media files and set the file type to Floating Logo.
Refresh and enjoy.

Clay has you on the right path. Also delete any logo.bmp on your front of house %\aloha\bmp folder.

If you have New Aloha Manager (Clay not everyone does) You add it from the media section. if you dont see logo as part of you choices, save the logo you want as a BMP file to the front of house as logo.bmp. If you dont want to see trails around your logo. add an extra 1/4 if a black border and any trails will disappear.

for Old aloha manager, same thing, remove any logo.bmp on both front and back of house. then add new BMN to the %\aloha\bmp folder as logo.bmp. if you ave 2 or more logos you would like it to cycle it through then call them logo1 logo2 logo3 and do not use logo.bmp. Once done, refresh and watch yor logos float.

If you want to burn them into your guest checks, that is entirely a different task

I apologize if I am being a pain in the ass, but there is something weird here.

My Aloha Manager media menu doesn't let me choose "logo" so I tried placing the logo.bmp in the BMP folder in the BOH server. This didn't change anything.

I haven't copied the file on to a register terminal to test yet, but when I look in the BMP folder I don't see any logo files or files containing the bouncing aloha logo.

Is there something I am not looking at properly?

As long as your file is named logo.bmp it'll work. Ross is correct that the file type is exclusive to CFC so don't worry about that.
You'll need to copy the logo file to the terminal for it to work properly.
