I'm using CR 2008 and I have an excel worksheet (Excel 2007)that I would like to use as a data source. When I try to select the file, the file type default is "data files", and my excel file doesn't appear. IF I switch the file type to Microsoft Excel files, I still don't see it. If I select all file types, the excel file finally appears but if I select it and use excel 8.0 as a database type, I get an error message saying "external table is not in the expected format. Do I need to download a driver for Excel 2007??

Hi,
have you defined the database in Excel?

Is there an Excel ADO or ODBC choice in CR2008 or any other options under Database Files? ( Only used up to CRXI, so not sure)

There is an Excel 8.0, 7.0, 6.0, etc, but no Excel 2007. When I use Excel 8.0 as the database file type, I get an error
