Hello. I am managing the Mitel 3300 system. There is an external landline number which customers call and are then routed to the agents via the Mitel 3300. I wanted to find out where this external number 0721237654 is stored on the Mitel 3300 using the web interface. I entered the following maintenance commands:

LOCATE NUMBER 0721237654

LOCATE NUMBER 00721237654

But they return the message "The number is not in use", yet this number is in use since customers are able to call it and are routed to agents.

Which version?
But you can run the command ccs trace enabled continously
Then call the number and you will see the external number and some bit further the destination number.
Do not forget to disable the trace by ccs trace disable.

In recent version you can see DDI number in there own section.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

If this is an inbound number that rings on the call center path then you could be looking for the proverbial needle...

First thing you need to figure out it when that number is dialed by someone, which if not all of the digits actually is presented to your system. In other words does your telco send you the full number or just the last 4 for instance.

From there you can see if you are "modifying" the digits in a few place, like digits being absorbed or even "mangled" to be something else in the inward dialed modification etc.
Then if you are doing something with the digits, figure out what it looks like after the system has "mangled" them and do a search for that number.

Example number 01234567890 is dialed. All the digits are sent to your system. do you absorb any of those digits? if so how many and figure out what you are left with; so absorbing 6 will leave you with 7890. now look for 7890.
You may absorb nothing and actually changed the dialed number in the inward dialing modification form. follow the same process to figure out which digits the system is dealing with at the time.

hope this helps
