Cant export animation file

ya. If I opened a PNG file, I get "Save as png".
Another way to work around is first save the original image as gif first, then start working on it.
When I was doing, I didn't know and create an animation from the jpg file, only to realise I can't save it as animated gif.
Just wondering if there's any way to force it to save as animated gif.

I have never had your problem but these things can be frustrating. I always Jump To Image ready from photoshop and would have created the necessary elements of the animation before jumping to Image Ready.
