We recently had our CallPilot server upgraded to new hardware and sofware (5.0). Since then I have not been able to add icons or move icons in any of my Auto Attendants. I can edit the attributes of existing icons in but can not add any. Has anyone come across this problem and have a fix for it?

If you are still using the same version of App builder that you used on previous software load, you need to update to new version.

If I remember correctly it's still on the PEPS CD

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS AND AVAYA

Yes it should be on the pep cd, but if the vendor loaded all the current SU and peps its likely that the App builder version on the cd is old too. 99% of the time the pep cd's are a waste.

I am using Application Builder version 05.00.14.20. I came on the CDs for CallPilot 5.0 Applications CD rev. 2. I uninstalled my old version before installing the new version. I have also uninstalled the new one and reinstalled it with no luck. Are the PEPS CDs the CDs I received from Nortel with my new server?

Yes, one of them is labled "Peps" or has that word on the CD. What type of upgrade was done? Did they upgrade the Rel. Of software to 5.0 or update 5.0 with the latest SU and peps/patches?

The upgrade was to replace our phyical CallPilot server which was running CallPilot 4.0.xx with a new server card in the CS1000 with Callpilot 5.0 running on it. I do not have any CDs with Peps on it. Do you think I need some updating via SU and peps/patches? My CallPilot Manager version is 05.00.41.70. I also looked for an updated App Builder on Nortel.com but could not find anything.

The AppBuilder version I use on my laptop is 05.00.41.40. It may not be the latest as I have had it for a while but it works fine. You will need to pull the latest version from the PEP Library at Nortel (ESPL) if you have approved access.

I'll see if my vendor can get it for me. I don't seem to be able to find it on the Nortel site.

I have installed the latest version of App Builder 5.0.0.41.40 and reimaged the server from the orginal installation disks. Although this fixed some other problems we were having I still can't add icons or move existng icons on my Auto Attendants in Application Builder.
I am open to any other suggestions anyone my have. Thank you all for help so far.

Hold on to your hats. Unbelievable. I read the test file that comes with the msi file and it says -

"Application Builder desktop icon needs higher resolution image. List of CRs that are addressed by this PEP: Q01943097 Application Builder desktop icon needs higher resolution image." Cryptic at best.

As it turns out I have two monitors on my desk, one with a higher resolution then the other. When I put App Builder on the high res monitor is works perfectly. When I drag it back to the lower res monitor it will not allow me to move or add icons. The high res monitor is set at 1680x1050 and the lower res monitor is set to 1280x1024. I wouldn't call 1280x1024 super low but... there you have it.
