can't edit image???

Hello, i tried to edit an image of a phpBB forum, wich i have installed. But when i open the gif image in photoshop i see that the whole image is locked. Is there a way to unlock the image or copy the image or something so i can edit the picture?

Ok, i;ve figured out how to work this out, there is only one other thing now. Suppose i have a green image with a little 3d effect in it. Is there a way to put some blue layer on top of this image so it looks blue instead of green??

Change the hue of the green to blue:-

Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation...

change Edit: 'RGB' to 'Greens' and move the top slider

With this method you could, for example, change a green apple to red, and maintain shadow, midtone and highlight detail
