more a pc problem as i can do it on other pc.
unfortunately this is the pc i do most stuff on - and of course i dont have an up to date image.

when i open a gpo box - i get the edit policy or import policy box and when i click on edit policy nothing happens

the gpinuse is being created

is this likely something in my 1.2 directory or is the pc just buggered

i dont mind working out all the crap and giving it a quick reinstall (it probably needs it) but dont want to do this if it's just one crappy file

Not sure what the fix is for this one my self, but I have run into this on numerous occasions.

However, I do all of my GPO edits from a guest PC in VMWare. So when it happens, I just click the revert snap shot button and the problem is solved.

I use VMWare for GPO edits because when gremlins feel like it, the the local policy on the PC being used to make the edit does not get restored when you close the MMC. So when that happens, again, click revert and the problem is solved.
