We need to remove XP_GrantLogin from the SQL 2005 db for compliance/secrutiy reasons. From the management studio it won't allow us to right click and remove. Using TSQL one of our developers tried 'DROP PROCEDURE sys.XP_GrantLogin'. That didn't work either. Anyone have any idea's on this? This is very high priority for us. Thanks! Just going to state now I'm no DBA.

You can't drop system stored procedures. Why prey tell are you trying to remove it?

That procedure is used to grant users access to the database.

What did the auditor tell you which is making you want to remove this procedure from the database?
