All,
I am having a problem with my internet explorer 6.0 When I try to download anything, it doesn't have the Save As type file extension associated. The word All Files is in the field, so when I download it, I can never open it. If I go to another computer in my house and try to download, I can always download in the correct format with the correct extension. The other computers have the same internet explorer version.

What setting can I change in my explorer to fix this?

Has anyone else had this problem?

Please help, and your help will greatly be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have found out what the problem was.

There is an FDA bar that is connected with my Explorer Browser.

On that bar, there is a button called Options. Once I clicked that a window comes up with a radio button called: Hook Internet Explorer downloads. That radio button was checked and I unchecked it and that did the trick.

I hope this is helpful to someone else who might run across this problem.

Thanks,

Thanks for posting your solution, but what do you mean by 'FDA bar' & does this have a name, so that others can benefit?

Yes that is correct!!!
