I'm trying to set up a regular link that will download a .3d file extension. I've changed the extension to .zip and it can then be downloaded, but I need to keep the .3d extension. Right now when the link it clicked I get a 'page cannot be found' error.

This is currently running on a dev server (Windows 2003 & CFMX 7) default install. Is there a way to allow the .3d file to be downloaded like the .zip can?

Thanks

Go into the IIS mmc and right click on the website. Select HTTP Headers, then MIME Types.

In there add the following:

Extension: .3d
MIME Type: application/octet-stream

Then you should be able to download the file ok.

Hope this helps
