Hi all,
For some odd reason, the person who created this database put the transaction log and data files on the C Drive. Well, now they are too big and I'd like to move them.

I tried to detach the database but there is one connection that's using it. I tried to clear it and it just keeps reconnecting. How can I get rid of this SPID using the database so I can detach it to move the transaction log???

Thanks,
HaileyMarie

If its an app on the network, unplug the network cable. obviouly schedule some downtime to do this. If its an app locally you should fine out which one it is.

Remember there will always be one SPID connected no matter what....that's you. Have you tried to detach? Or are you just looking at the connections?

Oh boy.. what I FINALLY did was kill the SPID and restart the service. It worked.. I think I spent too much time on this problem!! [sadeyes]

thank you!!
