Trying to delete an IP station and constantly getting "Object in Use : Please try later". Phone is disconnected from network and running Stat command confirms this.

Any clues how to get around this ?

Don't know if it helps, but if I just try and change the phone it will let me change from 4612 to a digital 6408D, but can't change to a 4610.

(CM2 Definity).

do a list usage extension xxxx and see whereelse the extension is used. Remove it from there (for example pickup-group or hunt group) and then you ll be able to delete the extension.
Good luck.

Thanks - I'd tried that, the only thing this station is linked with is itself ?

Sorry i didnt help. Does this station has any voicemail on it? If yes perhaps you should delete messages before you remove it. Check also if there is a data module.

rem stat XXXX and hit the enter key REALLY HARD [hammer]

Sorry, it's Friday.

Thanks for all that...even tried shouting whilst I hit the keys hard..but nope nothing working. Guess this is one for the vendor, probably corruption.

if the switch is saying it's disconnected have you tried re-associating that station ID with an IP phone, busy and release IP phone, logoff IP Phone and then remove the station?

Change station and put x in port?

Log the phone back into the network and then delete it while it's active?

Had the same thing last week. Avaya are the only people who can free this as it gets hung up in software. Same thing can somtimes happen with announcment boards. If you dont want to get Avaya involved you have to preform a reset system 4.

Hope this helps.

Try removing all buttons programmed on station except your call appeareance buttons. Then remove station.

Try to busy out the station first then remove it.

I had this same issue with 7 attendant consoles that were nolonger in use.

When I tried that it worked.

Can you do a list trace again and try to paste the results here please.

Thanks for all your advice everyone...however looks like it will have to go to Avaya to clear. Other than being able to change it to a 6408D, nothing else works.

Uzumaki - I'm guessing you mean a list usage rather than a list trace ? Here's the results when I list usage for that extension.

list usage extension 60330

LIST USAGE REPORT

Station Station Extension 60330 Emrgncy Loc Ext

Might as well let the vendor earn their money.

I had the exact same thing happen to me this morning. The error was caused because someone had the Send Calls and Ringer Off buttons active when the phone was removed. Now the PBX thinks the phone is active when it is disconnected.

I was able to change the port to an X and change the station to allow softphone. Then I logged into softphone with this extension and turned off Send calls and turned the Ringer back on. The system let me delete the station after those options were turned off.

If you need to see what options were on the phone when it was unplugged do a status station and it will show you if SAC or ringer off are active.
