Hello,

I have a HUGE report I was trying to make modifications to. I added a parameter ("Classification Filter"), and now want to remove it.

So I go through and remove all references. Pull the field off the report, remove the reference from the Select Expert, remove the reference from the Formula Workshop, go through the entire report and make sure there's no reference to '@Classification Filter'.

But, when I try to delete the parameter, I get a "could not be deleted. To delete, you must remove all references to it in the report".

Did I mention the part where I removed every reference I can find?

I've gone through the report with a fine tooth comb 5 times now. Can't find this f&$#@!n' reference!!!

What am I missing?

Thanks,
Jason

Hi,
If you have the option installed, export to 'Report Definition Format' and search it for references to that formula..

If not, be sure you check all other formulas ( some may use that one ) and all Inserted Groups and/or Customised Group Names

To Paraphrase:"The Help you get is proportional to the Help you give.."

Also check to see if this parm was used to link to a subreport. These don't show up in Export to Report Definition.

You could also try changing the datatype of the parameter. This should result in an error and bring up the formula area that contains the parameter reference.
