A file that is on the datavol on a netware 3.13 server is corrupt and cannot be read by the windows workstation. It seems to be a corrupt file. It will lock up the Exploere window and show not responding...then i have to end this task to free up the computer. Can I delete it from the netware console at the a netware server box?

The Ndir command is not recognized when I hut Alt Esc the switch to the command prompt and then type it. Mirror Status does work from this prompt.

Am I at the correct prompt? Am I using the wrong commands?

You can probably use the Netware utility "Filer" to delete this file. Go to a command line, in Windows, change to the SYS:pUBLIC directory and type in filer. That should allow you to find the file and delete it.

I do know that there are third party utilities that you can download that will allow you some of this functionality at the console, but I can't remember them now.

By the way, Netware 5 and later will let you do this from the console. Good luck.

Filer would have a problem with directories that have spaces in them (if I recall). Is it possible that your file is deeply nested within a directory tree or it has reached the 255 char path limit. Try using the SUBST or MAP Root (via DOS) in order to map to the path where the file is located and try deleting from the command line.
