Can't Delete Email

I have a user that sent an email to a global distro list and now none of the recipients can open the message. The person who sent it can also not open it from her Sent Items.
I am able to open the mailbox with mine and delete the email, but it doesn't seem to be much of a fix. The email doesn't have any attachment...it only has a subject line and no text in the body either.

The error being received is Can't Open this Item. Unknown Error.

Any idea on how they can get rid of them?

Have you tried isinteg on the exchange server to check the DB? Njoy!

no, not yet. i was hoping there would be a quicker fix. the exchange DB is >50G. Our ISINTEGs run at about 10G/hour, so at least it isn't as bad as MS suggests (1G/hour).
If I don't find another solution, I may have to go this route. Do you think it would have to run on each server or the just the server that originated the email?
