Can't delete an item. Error: "Item is active captured component"

When I try to delete some items, I get the following error message: "Item is active captured component. Item cannot be deleted."

The items have no BOM and are not used.

The items don't appeared in the following tables:
imordbld_sql, oeordlin_sql, oelinhst_sql, bmprdstr_sql

Can someone help me on this?

I am remembering something about this.

Write a view script as such.


CREATE VIEW dbo.Component_Captured
AS
SELECT dbo.sfdtlfil_sql.ord_no, dbo.sfdtlfil_sql.rec_type, dbo.sfdtlfil_sql.item_no, dbo.sfordfil_sql.ord_status, dbo.sfdtlfil_sql.comp_item_no
FROM dbo.sfdtlfil_sql INNER JOIN
dbo.sfordfil_sql ON dbo.sfdtlfil_sql.ord_no = dbo.sfordfil_sql.ord_no
WHERE (dbo.sfdtlfil_sql.comp_item_no = 'Item No here') AND (dbo.sfordfil_sql.ord_status <> 'C')

Where it states Item No here put your part number.

Here is the result of the script:

ord_no = 138177
rec_type = M
item_no = 33100.3754R01
ord_status = E
comp_item_no = 33501.1610D01

What the result means? What is the next step to be able to delete this item?

This means the item is a component in a bill of material. Delete it from all BOMs and you'll be able to delete the item.
