Can't delete a skillset! 1

I have to remove a skillset that is no longer required. It is no longer referenced in any script, variable, or agent profile.

Error Message when I try to delete it
This record cannoth be deleted because the system requires it to function properly.

Normally if a skillset is referenced somewhere and cannot be deleted, this is the error message:
This skillset cannot be deleted because it is currently referenced by either an active script or agent. Delete the referencing script and try again.

Not sure why this is happening!

Check to see if this skillset is defined as the default skillset (Skillsets - File - Global Settings). If it is, change it to another skillset, save your change, then try to delete the skillset again.
