Hi All,

I'm trying to decide what kind of reporting to use....I have around 100 end users viewing/filtering reports . I downloaded a ce9 (adv.edition-eval copy) and the reports look great. Now the question arises as to how do I get it to the web...do i use asp to integrate it with web pages and also the broadcast license issue....can someone elaborate on that?the ce9 enterprise professional edition with ePortfolio is way too expensive.....

does anyone have any other reporting products in mind?
also money is an issue, what is the best inexpensive way to provide dynamic web reporting(i'm hoping u wudn't suggest full asp development:))

Thanks in advance.

You could always export it as Word or Excel. Where I work, users prefer Excel because they can then do their own analysis on it.

Hi,
Even using full Visual Basic or VBScript objects ( within ASP pages) the licensing issues involved mean that there is no really inexpensive way to publish dynamic Crystal reports to a web site if the 5 simultaneous user limit is an issue.
Review the relevant sections of the CR/CE docs to see what distribution method is most cost-effective in your situation.
The Broadcast license should not come into play with web accessed reports, as it only applies ( it seems, but it is the least clearly documented item in the CE world ) to automatically distributed reports to multiple users.
