I have a 2616 that was logged in and all of a sudden quit working. After swapping out several 2616's I checked the SCCS and tried to deacquire the phoneset from the client. It comes back with ERROR in the terminal type and NOT ACQUIRED in the Staus column, but when I print the TN of that phone it still shows up as acquired. I tried manually deacquiring the set in LD 48 (DACR AGT 52 0 4 0) but I get FAIL/DEVICE NOT ACQUIRE. Is there any other way I can deacquire this set? Thanks,

Greg

Is it possible that a MOV or CHG was done on this set while it was acquired? Check to see if printouts in LD 20 and LD 32 give you the same phoneset type. You may need to have those pointers reset in the PBX.

Thanks for the reply. No MOV or CHG had been made to the set. It's a supervisor set in my test lab and I had just logged it in with a new agent ID to verify I could see the agent on our web client displays. When I went to log the agent out again a few minutes later the phone was dead. I can print the TN of the phone, but if I try to print the DNs associated with it I get NO ACT SINCE NO DATE. If I STAT the TN in LD 20 I get UNEQ as if it doesn't exist.

Sounds like it has been OUT'd. Try to print the ACID or one of the DNs on the phone, to see if the phone appears somewhere else or is just plain missing.

I have had same type of issue and it was a data corruption. Nortel logged into my system to fix it.
