can't create new report on RAS 8.5 with a dictionary source

Hi,

I would like to create reports in CE RAS 8.5 with a dictionnary as data source.

does anybody knows if it is possible and how to do?

Hi there,

I assume you are referring to Crystal Dictionaries? If so, I would suggest you look at an alternative data source instead of using a dictionary as Crystal are currently in maintenance mode for support of dictionaries as they no longer ship with the product.

I'm also assuming you mean CE8.5?

Dictionaries and SQL Queries were actually only ever intended tobe used with the CR Designer itself and not for any kind of deployment initiative.

They can work with CE (not with CE UNIX), but can be tricky. Have a look at the following --
