Hey all, I have a user who can't create new appointments in her Outlook calendar (Outlook 2003). We've deleted and recreated her profile a couple of times, we've even erased her hard drive and reinstalled all of her software. After every fix we try her calendaring works for an hour or two and then it stops working. Everything else works fine--she just can't create any new appointments. I thought it might be a problem with her account on the Exchange server (Exchange 2007) but I don't see any problems there. Any ideas on how we can get her calendar working on a permanent basis?

Thanks,

Joe B

Are you 100% sure she has write permissions on the Exchange server? At the server level itself? It sounds really like it's got to be on the Exchange server, since you've already changed her profile, and even reinstalled her whole local system.

Either that, or some program or update has got to be causing some issues on her end, since you say it happened after a couple of months with the clean install.. a security setting, perhaps?

Everything was working fine up until about a month ago. The Exchange Server has been running for a little over a year so I don't think that's it. Oh, I see I neglected one little item--if she reboots her computer it'll work for about an hour or two and then stop working (<--sheesh, where was my brain on that one!?).

Thanks,

Joe B

And no other problems/symptoms? Have you checked the Antivirus/Security logs? Windows Event logs? to see if anything fishy going on just at that time?

If nothing else, see if you can phone up your local Ghost Busters! [greedo]
