Can't create a credit card batch with Micros 3700

For some reason I can't even start the Credit Card tool on V4.9 Micros 3700 (I think that is the version) that allows me to manually create batches when they don't get sent automatically at End of the Day. The system is accepting credit cards fine, I just can't create a batch and obviously I can't settle a batch that I can't create. It started yesterday and if I knew where the 3700d.log files were being archived I might be able to offer more information. Any thoughts?
