Can't copy .exe files when upgrading to sp6a.

I'm upgrading nt4 sp1 to nt4 sp6a. I get a msg that ntbackup.exe, mspaint.exe, and most all the other exe files can't be copied from the source. I deleted temp folder, and tried again, but no luck. I have the same problem on another server.

I couldn't find anything on MS web site about this. Do I need to do sp4, then sp6? Or is it something else?

Any help is aprciated.

most probably, the source files are the culprit. if you can copy the SP locally and run from there, that would be best!
