Hardware:
- laptop with wifi port (Windows XP Home Edition SP2);
- desktop pc + ethernet card (Windows XP Pro SP2);
- wifi router - Trendnet 452 BRP

The router is connected to Internet, other computers are connected to the net using the router. Connection to the Internet on each of the computers is working great.
Problem: I cannot connect the laptop PC to the desktop PC.
Tried everything:file and print sharing activated on both comps, netwrk setup wizard, static sequencial IP's on both computers, it simply doesn't work.
The router IP: 192.168.1.1
Laptop IP: 192.168.1.102
PC desktop IP: 192.168.1.100
I created the same workgroup on each computer.
On each computer is installed ZoneAlarm Pro 6.5 and Kaspersky Antivirus 6.
Please I need help in solving this problem!
I apologize for bad english.
Thanks in advance.

Please disable firewall (Windows firewall, ZoneAlarm Pro 6.5, Kaspersky Antivirus 6, etc) on those involved computers till you solved the problem. The firewall might block the access.

As I know in XP pro, there are 2 types of file sharing, check the following articles to know which one you used.

Simple file sharing(without password)

Share file with user/group permissions

Hope helps..
