Hello,

I am trying to connect to my client's VPN. They have provided me with the Cisco VPN client, and provided me with the IP address, username, and password to connect.

cool.

I try to connect, and I get a "remote peer no longer responding" message. I try to ping the IP, and I get a request timeout

We have internet access through an ADSL line, behind NAT, with no firewall. All of the machines in the office are supplied private IPs. our ISP controls everything to do with our network remotely.

I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to VPNs. I need to know:

- if I should be changing any settings on the local machine that I'm using to connect to the VPN
- if I should be changing any settings on the VPN client
- if I should be calling the ISP and checking any settings for our network that they control
- any other suggestions that could resolve this problem

Thank you very much in advance for your help

Al
