I have a 3Com SuperStack II NETBuilder SI 461 T Boundary Router (MODEL # 461 T, BR 3C8461). Well I just got it, 2nd hand, and I am trying to access it from the hyper terminal. I am using a standard 9pin to 9pin female female cord. This is the right console cord right? Any other suggestions? I have the baud rate set at 9600 in hyperterminal. The data bits is 8,parity none,Stop bits 1, and Flow control Xon/Xoff. Also, I have it set on the right com port. Is there something I am overlooking? Well thanks. Also the router boots and does a self test just fine.
Thanks.

Are you using a 3Com cable? If not,it has to be a crossover. You can find the pinouts from the 3Com site.
When you boot up the router you would be able to see it going through its' self tests.
