I have a user who cant print from CMS, they were able to print previously. I logged in to CMS via root and got an error message "Cannot connect to ptr".
Does anyone have any idea how I would resolve this issue?
I'm not sure if this is a repeat reply. You didn't specify whether this is a serial printer or a LAN printer. You can get the status of the print environment by logging in as root and doing 'lpstat -t|lp' That will show all requests that are queued and the status of the scheduler. If it is a LAN printer you should be able to ping it both by name and IP address.
