No matter what I try, I get Cannot open LAN port.

Model: KX-TDA50
Password: I am very sure about it

Connection is Via USB

I am using Maintenance Concole Ver7.4 (For USA)

Have been connecting well before.

What could have gone wrong.I have no physical access to the KX-TDA50 as i am a remote programmer.

Thanks in advance.

Invalid password or Model Type
I would assume you would get a cannot open LAN port if you are trying to connect via LAN port

how do you connect via usb do you have a TDA50G there that is USA system ?

In other words how did you get a TDA50G if you are in Uganda?

Also the 50g does not have an IP address unless you have one of the CTI or ip gayeway cards in it

The system is in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania - USA. I access it remotely to program it.

It is a KX-TDA50 AND NOT KX-TDA50G

I am using Maintenance console Ver7.4 (For USA)

I have previously connected to the same system before successfully.

All of a sudden, i can't connect now.

I connect to a KX-TDA50G (in Wisconsin - United States) using the same version of Maintenance console without a problem.

Just not certain if the client did something to it.Funny enough they may never tell the truth.

@ cw3, There are some KX-TDA50s in Uganda though not easy to come across here.
TDEs and TDAs (100/200/600) are more common and now KX-NCP/KX-NS500/1000.

As fas as i am concerned, i know the KX-TDA50/g is for the Americas - USA, South America, The Caribbean e.t.c

Most KX-TDA50s i have programmed have been from the USA, Dominican Republic and south America.

Good system for small Networks.

However, it's maintenance console is hardly found unless you are a Certified Panasonic tech.

I know of a company in the USA that decided to put the MC on the website for free download

Oh I see that they are breaching their dealer contract !!

You didnt conect to a TDA -5O via usb to a system in Philly from Unganda unless you were doing it by TNC or Remote Desktop or LogMeIn and software was loaded on remote computer

@ cw3, you are right in your wisdom.

Yes i connect to the system via a PC plugged (using USB) to the system.

And yes, the maintenance console is loaded on the PC in Philadelphia.

All i have to do is connect to the remote PC intall the MC and program.

Most complaints from the clients is that Techs take ages to respond when called

Work on equipment in your own country there is no need for you to complicate legit dealers systems !!

It is the legit dealers that contract me to do remote maintenance for some of their clients when there is heavy workload. Besides, they probably make a saving.

I would also hire a Tech from the United States if the need arises.

Nobody knows why a company in the United States would hire the services of a company in Africa to do Remote Network programming and Maintenance.

Perhaps you should question the clients.

What do you think?

I also register the systems anyway.
