cant connect to exchange server

hi

I have 2 macs on a windows 2003 network that suddenly can no longer connect to the exchange server for mail. i have another that works fine and all the windows clints work. The mac users mail works as i can use OWA to get it. As far as i am aware no changes to the exchange server have been made. This was in OSX but i have upgraded to OSX tiger but still get the same message - "an error occurred on the IMAP server - a connection failure has occurred error 23012."

any ideas why this is happening?

Did the mail server recently move to another box? Windows machines get info about the Exchange server as part of the network authentication process - if Exchange was moved to a different server, the Macs might not know it.

no it wasnt - all on same server.

it was windows update - i applied another and it works fine now!

good old Microsoft!
