Hi, This problem only happens when connecting to an Oracle DB while logged in to Citrix using a mandatory profile ... I know, pretty specific :(

Versions are PowerBuilder 9.0, Citrix 7.0, Oracle 10.2

Anyway, in PowerBuilder, I execute the 'CONNECT USING' command as usual. I get no errors (SQLCode = 0) - however I don't actually get a connection (DBHandle() = 0).

This works fine in Citrix when logged in as a normal user ...

Another odd tidbit: I opened the Oracle Management Console while logged in as the mandatory profile user, and added the service to the list of databases. That actually got the app to work fine ... until I logged out. Next time I logged in, the problem was back - and now added the service no longer fixes it!

Any ideas? Suggestions of where to look next ...

Thanks,
Glen.

Actually, It looks like the problem is Citrix/Oracle - nothing to do with PowerBuilder (even using the Oracle tools, I can't connect to the DB ... except that one time ...). So never mind - I'll try a different Forum.
