I am pretty knowledgable when it comes to Crystal reporting but a rookie when it comes to Crystal Charts/Graphs.
Here's why question/problem.
I have a report which is really just a bunch of counts (running totals) and formulas (calculates points based on the counts). The report has a subreport which passes data back to the main report (using shared number variables).
My data is OK and the correct values are being passed back to the main report.
Here's where the problem comes in. I am now trying to chart some of the data, but the "field" I want to display is not listed in the available fields of the Chart Expert.
This is happening for several fields but the one I REALLY need is a formula.
The formula is based on several other forumlas, some of which are based on values which are passed from the subreport back to the main report (using the shared variables I mentioned above).
Any ideas on why I cannot choose this formula for my chart? Could I have too many "nested" formulas (formulas based on other formulas)?
