I recently had to rebuild my workgroup information file after my security file was corrupted. All went well until I used the Security Wizard to define a read-only group etc. When I selected "finish" from the security wizard I got an error that the Wizard could not finish and the owner of the database was not assigned. With no "owner" I am unable to assign "open exclusive" permissions and thus I can make no design changes.

I would just start fresh again and rebuild the workgroup admin file again, but the old workgroup ID isnot working and when I finished the security wizard it did not give me the option to print the one-step security wizard report that usually summarzies all of this info.

Any suggestions on how I can find my workgroup ID? or reset the Database owner?

i don't know of any way to do exacly what it is you want to do... the only thing i know of to fix your problem, is to make a new mdb, and copy all of the objects to the new mdb, and then you will be the owner... the only real problem with this is that you'll have to redesign the relationships... (well, just recreate them...)

hope this helps, and that it's not to much work...
