Hi, i'd like to know if its possible to change the horizontal size of a textbox.

i'm building a report and i want to have a the width of my control to change so that all the text fits in it...

access has cangrow and canshrink properties but that only affects the heigh, not the width.

does anyone know of a way to do that?
either in code or by some property i missed...

thank you in advance

Eric

Maybe by setting the width of the control in the OnFormat event, but I'm not sure. But there are lots of problems associated with this even if you could do it. How would you know what width to set the control? You can't count the characters and determine the width because the size is also a function of the Font and the FontSize. You would also have to have some type of a magical maxsize to the control to prevent it either overlapping controls to it's right or going off the page. Sometimes you need to realize a constraint even if there are ways of achieving a workaround because the effort necessary to achieve it is too great.
