I am having trouble changing a number in the system speed dial list! Seems like a no brainer, but I can't do it onsite using SPM or from a remote location using a Socket Magix unit with SPM.
I click 621 on the list(there is a number there already), click modify and enter the new name and number, then click save and apply. I should at this point see an hourglass indicating the save is in progress. I never see the hourglass but the apply goes grey.. When I try to leave, a pop up window asks if I want to leave with out saving the change?
I'm thinking a reboot of the whole system, but this seems a little drastic.

Any suggestions?

Try it in standard SPM mode - where WinSPM emulates the 20L operator phone - or better yet - do it from the actual operator phone.

I had a similar issue the other day with a tech trying to do the same procedure, chane a System Speed Dial Number.

The fix was, delete all errors under Permanent and Transient.

I would be willing to bet that if, under maintenance, you look at the status of slot 0 (Zero) you will find that it has errors.

Cleaning out the errors (1) Got rid of the ERROR condition when looking at Slot 0, and (2) allowed the tech to make the changes.

Go figure.....

Merlinman,

I'll try it using the Socket Magix and let you know..

I cleared the errors but I still can modify 621, any other thoughts? Do you think a re boot might help?

I'll give an update after it's done..

Thanks to you both.

I could not change the one in my lab while an extension had it displayed using directory. May someone have gotten it up, and then left the phone?

2BAvoice,

Now that's something I never heard about.
Thanks for the tip..

Here is what I got so far.

As suggested, I "dropped" all the errors and have re-booted the system, still can't modify Speed call 621

No Merlinman. I am going in remotely (IP) using a Socket Magix but was using the STANDARD SPM mode once I got in. I can change any others in the list, but not 621. System speed dialing 621 has a number assigned to it now, I've tried to modify it or delete it and it will not work, the change will not save! The only thing I didn't try was to have the customer onsite try it from the MLX 20L. I can't see the difference, but I'll give that a try as a last resort.
