Running XP-Pro. When I try to change the screen saver the selection box is grayed out with Mystify, the current saver, shown. The other *.scr files are in the windows\system32 directory. I tried looking thru the registry, have looked thru the management console, tweakui, etc. to no avail.

Does anyone have suggestions?

Thanks

Regards,
John

Search your registry for 'NoDispScrSavPage'Dword
make sure it is set to disable

Zero Mistakes = Zero Experience
And Boy do I have experience !

The disable setting is 0 and the dword is likely to be in
User Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
or in
System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]

Check Group Policy (GpEdit.msc in Run Box).

Local Computer Policy/ User Configuration/ Administrative Templates/ Control Panel/ Display.

See if it is disabled.
