As a new W2K user I don't know how to change the CDROM drive letter assignment. I added a CDROM which of course took the next drive letter which is an important mapped drive.

In Win9X you can goto settings and change the device drive letter assinment. I cannot find where to do this in Win 2K

To assign a different drive letter to a CD Rom drive in Windows 2000,
Right click on "My Computer" and choose "Manage"
Under "Computer Management" click on the "Storage" tree and click on "Disk Management"
On the right windowpane, scroll down to the drive you wish to manage. Right click on the CD Rom drive and choose "Change Drive Letter and Path..."
Choose "Edit" and assign the new drive letter!
