I did not realize you can perform 3rd Party CFFM directed against a non-prime softkey appearance. However, it appears that you can.

The problem comes in trying to cancel 3rd Party CFFM when the target extension is only non-prime.

I had to cancel (delete) all line appearances of the non-prime number to get this to clear.

Anyone know of a better way?

Sorry - - System = multiple clustered 2K LW34 + multi clustered 3300 8.0 UR2

I've never had an issue setting or cancelling CFFM on a non-prime key.

Must be something particular to your setup.

Is the key resilient? A member of a hunt group? Anything special at all?

No, nothing unusual, exceot there is simply no prime appearance of it anywhere. It is multicall and appears as either immediate ring or immediate ring-continuous on 4 other instruments.

The only thing unusual was that we did it with 3rd party CFFM (which is the only way you can user-program a non-prime line).

Remote cancel forwarding would not work as that feat applies only to a prime.

Similarly we could not pull up the extn on an SC1000 console, again because it's not prime.

We could use 3rd party CFFM commands to re-forward it elsewhere, but could not cancel the fwd'g.

Your assertion that the cancel code is specific to primes is not correct.

I just tested this using a non prime key on a single phone, a multicall on 2 sets and a key system line on 2 sets. In all cases the Remote CFFM SET/CANCEL worked. I used it to forward to voicemail and then cancel.

The only guess I have at your issue is the FAC itself. You might have a conflict somewhere in your system. Try changing the FAC for cancelling to something else and try again.

My FAC for:
Call Forwarding - Follow Me - Third Party ........ #15
Cancel Call Forwarding Follow Me - Third Party ... #015

Duh....
there was no cancel CFFM 3rd party FAC defined.
There is now!!
Thanks.

Thanks for the star.

Kind of ironic isn't it for you to miss something like that, considering the level of support you've demonstrated in this forum. I take it you were trying to use the cancel forward remote not the third party.

It's the same with me, I either miss something so obvious it pains me to reveal or so obscure I wouldn't solve it on my own in a million years.

Yes. During Hurricane Ike I was working from home and had used (for the first time) CFFM 3rd Party to redirect several folk's office exts to their cellulars. Came back in to the office yesterday & needed to cancel one on a softkey and completely forgot about the separate FAC for the cancel feature. Felt like an idiot on that one. Still not many people back at the office today; lots of damage, still over 1.5 million plus in Houston w/o electricity. Parts of Galveston & Bolivar peninsula are decimated
