Can't browse via servername or localhost

I am trying to debug some ASP code and I cannot get interdev or IIS to see the localhost or servername in my url. If I key in 127.0.0.1 then I can see pages perfectly. I am not on a domain -- does that matter? I simply want to do some local development but can't get interdev to point to the 127.0.0.1 IP address.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm a dumbass...I didn't have bypass local addresses in the proxy.
