When i work at home. My firewall and router make a connection to my Office.
I don't use any windows VPN software.

I want to browse in my network ( My Network Places - Entire Network - Microsoft Windows Network) i don't see anything. I can ping my server and connect to the with \\192.168.5.5 but when i type \\servername i don't get anything.

How can i get also my loginscript when i'm home ?

if you are not able to obtain the name resolution the DNS resolution it is not working when you are at home.

How does your router connects to your office?
ADSL, via an ISP provider?

I guess that then you are using their DNS server, and there is not awareness of your office network, as it should...

A VPN connection provides a secure authentication to your office network, once connected you should gain DNS resolution from your office DC(or DNS server).

I work with my laptop 3 day's at the office. And 2 day's from my home. I have a ADSL at my place. There is a router that makes the connection to the internet via my ISP(ADSL) and the router also make a VPN to the router at my office.

I use the DNS of my ISP. Because i work sometimes not at home and not at the office.

so if I understand well you router is creating the VPN tunnel, each time you connect to the office.

but once the tunnel is created can you resolve in a
DOS window any IP?

if not then you VPN tunnel is not right configured to obtain DNS resolution from your DNS server at your office.
