I'm running VPN services on my home server which is running the Win2k Server OS. My setup has been through dozens of changes over the years, most recently the addition of a linksys box. Fortunately for me, VPN access survived all comers...until now.

Sometime around the holidays I became unable to browse for or search for other computers while connected to the VPN. I guess what's indubitably strange is that clients can connect just fine (I have forwarding set up on port 1723 on the linksys box) but they can no longer access any resources, shares, or see a darned thing.

I do have the server set up to automatically deal with Windows Updates when necessary, so that has become my chief suspect. My question for you all is: Does someone out there know of a recent update that would have caused this problem? If not, does this sound familiar? I'm stymied.

Thanks in advance.

which linksys box did you have? I have befw11s4, and it does not pass the udp through.

One in the same. But I'm confused by what you're saying because at one point, this problem did not exist. I have successfully connected to my VPN routing through the linksys box on a number of occasions.

Have you found a solution on your end?
