I have a user who is unable to print her sales order batch postings. The window I am supposedly looking for is called "Print". Try as I may, in advanced security, I cannot find the "Print" window. Does anybody know where this window lurks? The problem is that since she doesn't have rights to it when she posts her batch, the batch doesn't complete properly, requiring a batch recovery at next login.

Look at Posting Permissions. She may also need permission to batch entry under financial series.

Do you actually get a permission error?

If so and you are running v8.0 of Advanced Security, turn on the "Allow Security Override using System Password" option.

This will then tell you exactly which window you don't have access to and allow it to be fixed.

These interactive dialogs were on by default in v7.x and could not be turned off easily. In v8.0 they can be turned off and default to being off.

I get an error when she posts the batch. A window pops up saying she doesn't have permission, but doesn't indicate the title. I managed to get the window title, which was print. She has all posting permissions, in all series, and anything with the word print in it.

We're using 7.5 SP5, with Advanced Security. I don't suppose that Allow Security Override using System Password option was included in 7.5, was it?

On v7.5 the interactive dialogs were made available as soon as Advanced Security has been initialised. So the option is not available but the functionality is. The option was added to be able to turn the dialogs off, which sadly became the default.

Just make sure Advanced Security has been used at least once and that the dictionary is installed on the workstation. For v7.5 Advanced Security is installed from the CD by default.

Advanced security has been used many, many more times than once.

Dictionaries are syncronized across the company, and the AdvSec is installed.

I don't see any place to enable the window called "Printer".
