Hello Guru,
I am trying to boot a server T5220 from a Network File Server. Everything looks ok, but I still see an issue, not sure if it reads the network-boot-arguments correctly?
NFS:
\\192.168.0.122\repository\V8SOLUTION_MIXED_rev1\BOOT_MEDIA_SUN4V
File Name:
BOOT_MEDIA_SUN4V.W08_4V.iso
{0} ok printenv network-boot-arguments
network-boot-arguments = hostname=MyTestLab,host-ip=10.10.239.35,subnet-mask=255.255.255.0,router-ip=10.10.239.1,file=\\192.168.0.122\repository\V8SOLUTION_MIXED_rev1\BOOT_MEDIA_SUN4V\BOOT_MEDIA_SUN4V.W08_4V.iso
{0} ok boot net
Boot device: /pci@0/pci@0/pci@1/pci@0/pci@2/network@0 File and args:
Manual Configuration: Host IP, boot server and filename must be specified
ERROR: boot-read fail
Can't open boot device
{0} ok
There is a network connected, I tried for fun boot net:dhcp and I do see the link up, unfortunately it is not a DHCP network, but since I am putting the info in the boot line It should be fine, I guess.
This server is not equipped with a DVD-ROM, If I cannot find the right way, Could I put the DVD on my Windows laptop and map it to it? if so, should I put my laptop as TFTP server and map it to my DVD-ROM, so that I can put my IP from the laptop in the netwrok-boot-arguments.
Any help would be appreciated.
Sylvain
