I'm trying to install Advanced Server 2000 on a VM. (v5.5)
I had no luck booting from CD (dvd-drive) so I decided to create an ISO image and boot from that instead but that won't work either!
The cd is good and the image is good. When I try to start the vm, it says a bootable cd was not detected.
I have the cd device set to use an iso image.

Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Rick

I've always had to have the "Legacy" support enabled in order to boot from a CDROM.

Do you have multiple CDROM's defined for the VM? I did have a problem once where the system would not boot from the second CDROM (it was slave on the virtual IDE chain).

also make sure you have the cdrom configured to be boot from in the vm's bios.
