Cant attach to mailbox in exchange 5.5

backup exec wont backup the exchange server mailboxes..keeps asking for the unique exchange mailbox name..ive created one and set all the permissions in exchange..what else?! have i missed summat?!

Are you logged into NT as the right user (who has access to that mailbox)? Is the profile set up correctly (control panel mail)? Go into email and send a test email to yourself. Does that work?

yes im logged on correctly.......we're using win2k server (if that helps!)..there's no mail in control panel tho, so ive set it all up in exchange itself...

Yes, you have to set it up in Exchange then install a mail app on the server (client side app, not server) such as Windows Messaging or Outlook. Then you will get a mail icon. Set it up in there and the prob should go away...
