I am rather new with Linux and encountered the next problem,
I try place a linux red hat server in windows network,

firstly I configured samba, however the windows network I can see the clients and serves but I cannot approach them also from the windows network I cannot see also the linux server.

does a someone have a idea why I can see the windows network, but I cannot approach it?

have you created accounts using smbpasswd with the "-a" option?

If everything is fine you shoudl be able to test your shares after logging in as a valid samba registered user

Code:
net -l share -S your_linux_server

If I could have sex each time I reboot my server, I would definitely prefer Windoz over Linux!
