Gaaah! Now I'm angry. I'm designing a report from a table and in one field (price) I don't want any decimals. Therefore I have clicked on the controll for price in the report (design view of course), clicked the Properties button and set Decimals to zero. Yet in the report, price is still given with two decimals!!! Gaaah. I'm using Access 97 is this a bug or something. I have done exactly as the Office Assistant told me to do and yet it dosen't work :-(

In your table design, do you have that field's format set to CURRENCY?

You must have a format assigned to the control in the report - if you do not, change it to standard or currency and your decimals should be correct

no it is set to simple because the price is in thousands of dollars not dollars, so I can't have it set to currency because then it will list the price as for example $ 100 when it should be $ 100 000. Therefore I also need more than 2 decimals to be stored in the database but I don't want ANY decimals to be shown in the report. The stupid Office Wizard says that this can be done but it dosen't work for me *cries*

Try setting the format to Fixed with 0 decimals. Also, try a keyword search on the forum - this is a common problem, and the answer may be out there.

OH Nancy you really are an angel!! I don't know how to thank you enough. I changed the format from number to standard and suddenly it worked, it worked it worked!!!!

YES! A BIG, BIG thank you. You have saved my day two times this week now. Thank you! :)
