Hey all,

I was using my vCard as an attachment on my outgoing emails and now I'm getting an error:

Can't create file: First Last.vcf. Right-click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu to check your permissions for the folder.

This used to work and just stopped working. Rather than fight with it at the time I just changed the "Attach this business card (vCard) to this signature:" to <none>. Anyone have any ideas on why this would stop working? I'm using Outlook 2003 on Windows XP SP3 and connecting to Exchange 2007. I'm also using MS Word as my email editor.

Thanks,

Joe B

Sounds like it's just a permissions error. Make sure you're permissions haven't been changed.

kjv1611, how do I check folder permissions on an email???

Thanks,

Joe B

Well, that should be done at the server level, such as on the Exchange server. So really, the only way I can think of (assuming you do not have admin access there) will be to contact whomever is your support admin for network security and/or email access. We just put in a "ticket" for something like that where I work. If you do have admin access, well, I've never looked at it directly, myself, for Outlook permissions, but I have seen it in other applications. It should be a simple checkbox or option box or something along those lines..
