I've been tying for the past 2-3 hours to install a protocol onto a compaq proliant 800 server. I'm not sure whether the SCO install is botched or the HW.
It's an inhereted site and they want to use ethernet connectivity now not serial. Hence the attempt to install the card.
The integrated 10/100 utp nic installs, but if I choose add protocol I can't select the card ("*" and when I enter on the ADD button it drops me out of the netconfig screen.
I have tried other NIC's from a 3com to a super generic. Same thing, they all come up with this bloody comapq nic stub driver. I tell you if I find the person who wrote it I'll leave them with a stub. Talk about frustrating.
Anyway don't mind the "stub" vent.
I need to get this workig ASAP so I don't look like a complete wanker to the client. Maybe I should reinstall?
I'm still a few months into SCO not and expert but can get my way around an install admin and setup.
Please help I'll send you a case of beer.
